Enthusiast for a long time, main system listening my preference but have used HD420's c.1979 to monitor (originally) cassette deck recording and then CD recordings. Although now ancient they might surprise even today, given their age and cost of about £27.

This year have upgraded to HD800's and Beyer T1.

In performance terms, I have found both sets of phones provide levels of detail that my main system cannot match - without a lot more money going out.
